Twice as Many Moons

Twice as Many Moons
(September, 2012)

Twice as many moons as I‘d hoped,
Have passed before this brief encounter.
And though it came as sweet as fresh-water June,
I don’t need another dream to chase after.

Innocent stroll interrupted by poisonous doubt.
Barely noticed –yet highly foreseen–
The swelling of emotion, for unrequited fantasies.

–Adriana Martinez Traslosheros.
